Training Covers the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) provisions for sprinkler installers; safety and health hazards and their prevention; the safe and proper use of personal protective equipment, tools, ladders, rigging, scaffolding, trenches, and winches; fire protection; first aid; and the handling and storage of materials. Each SkillBridge Participant will report directly to a Journeyman that works for Shambaugh and Son, L.P. and be lead by a Foreman and Site Superintendent.
Use and Care of Tools: Training on the proper use and care of tools for sprinkler installers to include safety precautions and OSHA standards.
Reading Blueprints for Fire Suppression Systems: On the job training on how to read fire suppression system drawings.
Sprinkler System Calculations: On the job training on mathematical concepts used in solving installation problems.
Installation of Fire Suppression Systems: On the job training on threading pipe and installation of fire suppression systems.
